PERFORMANCE
Echo’s Chamber by BoogaertVanderschoot is a space dedicated to silence and to listening to the world around us. Our universe is in constant motion and vibration — from the movement of planets to the beating of our own hearts. Every atom, every cell, every organ, and every bone in our body vibrates, and this vibration produces sound. This sound affects every living being and is not only “heard” by our ears, but by every cell in our body. Echo’s Chamber is designed to honor a world that extends beyond the human. It invites us to let go of the human perspective and to listen to the polyphony of the universe.

SCENOGRAPHY
The space is a hybrid of performance art and digital culture, conceived as a shared, immersive environment for both performers and audience. It takes the form of a multimedia room with an installation-like setting — high-tech and DIY at the same time, intimate despite its use of media. At its center stands a light, dome-like bamboo structure with semi-transparent walls that both enclose the space and serve as projection surfaces. A soft, printed carpet covers the floor. The dome evokes a contained, ritual inner chamber, with a gentle, diffused atmosphere of light. Projections, screens, and real-time imagery function as a layer of memory and as an interface between the physical and the digital body.
