No Enemy

performance
In a small satellite town, somewhere in the near future, the majority of people have fallen prey to “Uniforma,” a medicine that guarantees socially desirable behaviour. Two women are trying to break away from this society, a society to which everyone is adapting. Their imagination offers a way out: they can be anything and everyone. When they kidnap a random girl, the fantasy turns into a sinister reality.

design
The space is a composition of eclectic materials: brightly coloured wads, jugs and plastic still lifes, carefully and intuitively composed. It incorporates various light sources. Patterns of tape and drawings with made with spray paint creep in between, in a game of wire lines in the air. The kidnapped girl is modelled into sculpture in various gruesome ways. As artists, the players create a new environment for each scene, as an ode to the imagination.
